Tropical Islands continues investing in the expansion of the resort
On occasion of the 10th anniversary gala of Tropical Islands, CEO Jan Janssen an-nounced that the resort will be expanded by an open-air waterpark in the upcoming year. At over 33,000 square meters, different water attractions arise with a total area of 1,400 square meters, vast lying surfaces for over 2,500 guests as well as plenty facilities for sportive activities and gastronomy.
Jan Janssen looks optimistic ahead: "With this range, we increase the attractiveness of Tropical Islands as tourist destination. The length of visitors´ stays is steadily grow-ing. We want to offer a unique resort, which brings relaxation & fun for the whole family and people of all ages."
Over an enclosed bridge which leads thematically from the Tropics to the Spreewald countryside, visitors get from the dome directly to the all-year outdoor area.
A real adventure promises Germany's longest wild-water river. At 200 meters, through the flow passage it goes rapidly downhill. During the downhill run you can have a break on the bubble beds in the relaxation pool.
A pool of 550 square meters with various massage nozzles, a neck shower, the lazy-river flow paths and bubble beds offers relaxation. Water games provide fun for small & big children.
In another pool, visitors will find plenty of fun & action. On an water area of 370 square meters there are 25-meter lanes, a swing grotto, a wave-ball area, a climbing wall and many other attractions.
The spray area, equipped with funny and splashy water features provides fun espe-cially for the little ones, while parents can stay right next in the relaxation pool, always having an eye on the offspring.
All pools as well as the wild-water river are heated, measuring temperatures of 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.
The outdoor area is embedded by a landscape of dunes. In addition to lying surfaces, there are also going to be adventure playgrounds and sports fields, such as beach soccer & beach volleyball courts.
That way Tropical Islands is a fancied tourist destination in all weathers, or as Jan Janssen says: "Every weather is Tropical-Islands weather." In winter the warm tropi-cal temperatures lure into the dome, and in summer guests can enjoy Brandenburg´s sun. With this, Tropical Islands breaks open to the outside world. A transition from the Tropics to the Spreewald will be created.
In a further step, additional accommodations will follow. "In August we opened 23 mobile homes on the campsite, which were booked up to 90 percent over the past months. This success confirms that we are on the right track. Therefore, a further 60 pieces of comfortable holiday homes will follow, "Janssen is delighted. Brandenburg's first mobile-home park, consisting of a total of 83 houses with 330 beds, is located in between pine forests and meadows. As it is just a ten minutes´ walk to the Tropical Islands Dome, tranquility & relaxation in nature can be linked to the attractions of Tropical Islands.
