Tropical Islands suspends guest operations until April 19

Krausnick, March 13, 2020: In view of the current and constantly changing situation, the management of Tropical Islands has decided to suspend guest and hotel operations from 6 p.m. on March 15, 2020, initially until April 19 inclusive.

"The new findings require drastic measures. We not only have a responsibility for our employees and our guests, as a company we also have a social responsibility. In order to minimize the risk of infection during ongoing operations, further massive operational restrictions would now be necessary, which we cannot afford in this form," said Wouter Dekkers, General Manager of Tropical Islands. "We also want to send a signal that we are not underestimating the seriousness of the situation."

The decision to suspend business operations was taken in close consultation with the responsible authorities in Brandenburg and the district of Dahme-Spreewald, who respect and welcome this decision.

All guests who have booked an overnight stay at the Tropical Islands Resort during this period will be contacted personally. Any payments already made will be refunded. Booked day tickets remain valid. Further information will be published soon on the Tropical Islands website.
